This year is so much more about print than ever. So may designers setting trends, trickling down to high street stores like Topshop, New look, Zara and many more. Here are just some must have prints in your wardrobe.

Stripes

There are all sorts of designs with stripes whether it be colourful, pinstripe or candy stripe. The safe choice is to pair any shorts/trousers with a white top especially if it’s printed. A plain top would go with it as well. If you wanted to mix and match prints just make sure it works well with each other.

Floral

This print always reoccurs during spring and summer season, no matter what year. So I would say it’s a safe bet that it will be a trend again next year. So this is must have in your wardrobe.

Gingham

I love how the gingham print looks. Whilst, on one hand, it reminds me of my school days it has definitely managed to branch out of that school dress look. You can either wear it on its own and accessorise or mix and match it with other clothes in your wardrobe.

Polka dots

It’s very interesting that polka dots are on trend again. It has been a long time since they were on trend. I like how the polka dots are just in sections of the dresses from Janashia’s ready to wear collection. I also like Dhela’s dress as it’s not full on with polka dots, in fact, the polka dots mimic how the dress drapes and flows.

Animals

I would say this trend was influenced by Gucci with their S/S 17 collection. The typical animals that were in their collection were the tiger, snake and birds. From left to right the animals used are flamingos, bugs and a monkey. Flamingo prints seem to be a popular print on the high street.
