The second event from Cannes that I looked at was the premiere of The Meyerowitz Stories directed by Noah Baumbach, starring the infamous Dustin HoffmanBen StillerEmma Thompson and many more. This is available on Netflix.

There were so many dresses to pick from at the film premiere but here are my top favourite dresses from the red carpet.

1. Anja Rubik

Anthony Vaccarello

I love the asymmetrical look on the shoulders which is quite on trend. I like the added jewels on the other side of the dress. It creates a nice contrast with the dress. I also like the hidden pockets in the dress. It can be quite handy when you don’t bring a clutch to an event.

2. Araya Hargate

Alexis Mabille

I like the colour combination of this dress. The body-hugging dress really accentuates her pregnant belly. The volume on the dress balances the flatness of the dress and it creates a very nice silhouette.

3. Olga Kurylenko

Elie Saab

It’s interesting how the embellishments create the patterns on the dress. The lower half of the dress is quite sheer but the embellishments really draw your attention. Olga pairs this with a nice midi earrings and a black watch.

4. Coco Rocha

Georges Hobeika Couture

This dress is very pink and feminine. From the embellishments and to the ruffles and delicate looking ends of the dress. The whole look is quite floral from the embellishments to the ruffles which look like delicate petals.

5. Sonam Kapoor

Elie Saab

I love the drapery of the dress. It has a very soft look with soft outlines. The dress looks like it’s made out of velvet because of the look of the fabric and it could have possible undergone Devore which is a textiles technique where bits of the fabric undergoes a chemical process which dissolves the fibres. It then leaves you with an almost sheer looking fabric.
